Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Randomware Audio ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use EPToolkit ("the App") and visit our website ("the Site").

1. Information We Collect

License information. When you activate a license, we collect your license key and a machine identifier (derived from hardware info, hashed) to enforce activation limits. We do not collect personal hardware details beyond what is needed to generate this anonymous identifier.

Contact information. If you use the contact form or send us an email, we collect your name, email address, and message content.

Feedback and logs. If you choose to attach project files or application logs when submitting feedback, those are transmitted to us. This is optional and requires your explicit consent.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. We do not store or have access to your credit card or payment details. Lemon Squeezy's own privacy policy applies to payment data.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To validate and manage software licenses
  • To respond to your inquiries and support requests
  • To process feedback and improve the App
  • To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

3. Data Storage

Data is stored on Cloudflare infrastructure (Workers, D1 database, R2 storage) in the European Union. We take reasonable measures to protect your data from unauthorized access.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except as required to provide the service (e.g., Lemon Squeezy for payment processing) or as required by law.

5. App Data

The App runs locally on your machine. Project data, samples, and device communications stay on your computer and are transmitted directly between your computer and the connected device via USB/MIDI. We do not have access to your projects, samples, or device data.

6. Analytics and Tracking

Website. We use visitor analytics on the Site to understand how our website is used. This is done with a privacy-focused, self-hosted solution that does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites.

Desktop App. The App does not use analytics or tracking. It only checks for updates by contacting our server and sends a version string. No usage data or personal information is transmitted for analytics purposes.

Error reporting. The App uses Sentry for error tracking to help us identify and fix bugs. Sentry may collect information about the error, including stack traces and device environment details, but does not collect personal data or project content.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. If you are a EU resident, you have additional rights under the GDPR, including the right to data portability and the right to withdraw consent.

8. Data Retention

We retain license and contact information for as long as necessary to provide the service. Feedback submissions and associated files are retained for up to 1 year unless you request earlier deletion.

9. Children's Privacy

The App and Site are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
